OASIS is pleased to announce a Green IT for Green Policies conference in Brussels on 13/14 October

OASIS is partnering with the 2010 Belgian Presidency of the European Union (EU) to host a Green I.T. for Green Policy conference on 13-14 October 2010 in Brussels, Belgium. This conference will be an official event in the EU calendar during the Belgian Presidency and will be hosted at the Belgium Federal Ministry of Finance.

The eGov Member Section Steering Committee is playing a prominent role in the planning of this conference.

Steering Committee approves release of new Guidance Document

Following full consultations, the Steering Committee of the eGov Member Section has approved the release of a new Guidance Document. This one covers making the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 and provides advice to Governments on the need for removing any barriers from making this transition. OASIS and WCO sign an MOU to promote technology standards

Peter Brown, OASIS Board Chairman, and the World Customs Organisation (WCO) Secretary General, Kunio Mikuriya, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote technology standards worldwide. The eGov Member Section will take the lead role for OASIS in liaising with the WCO and helping them to address the needs of Customs administrations in emerging areas relating to information technology.
